Lisa Ezzard will be at City Lights Bookstore to present her book, Vintage, on Saturday, January 18th at 6:30 p.m.  Returning to her roots on a six-generation family farm, Lisa Ezzard comes home to Tiger Mountain to become a wine maker and grower. Humbled and ruled by an ancestral love of the land and its seasons, she prunes in the winter, trains in the spring and summer, and harvests in the fall. Through Ezzard's heart and hands Dionysus comes alive in the Southeastern Appalachians of Georgia. We can follow the year's vintage and taste the wine. For all those wishing to return to the land, Vintage brings to the farming life a whole new palette.

Lisa Ezzard   as a long-time poet, is a member of the Squaw Valley Community of Writers and has received grants to write at Casa Don Miguel in Patzcuaro, Mexico, and at Hambidge Art Center in the Smoky Mountains. She has taught, edited, and performed poetry in a wide variety of venues throughout California. She has published in many literary journals and anthologies, including Appalachian Heritage, The Squaw Valley Review, From the Web: A Global Anthology of Women's Political Poetry, and Appalachian Adventure: From Georgia to Maine- a Spectacular Journey on the Great American Trail. After teaching language, literature and dance in California for twenty-two years, she returned to her family farm in the Appalachians of North Georgia to become the sixth generation on Tiger Mountain, where she grows grapes and makes wine.
