WAYNESVILLE  — Mr. Thomas Hicks “Pete” Massie, 84 of Waynesville, died Nov. 24, 2012, at The Homestead.

He was born in Haywood County to the late Bea Massie and Callie Bradley Massie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Massie and 10 brothers and sisters.

Mr. Massie worked as a greens keeper at a golf course, and later owned and operated Pete’s Produce in Hazelwood.

Survivors include his son, Mike Massie, and his wife, Beth, of Waynesville; daughter Lynn Carlaw, of Millville, New Jersey; sister, Mary Faye Warren; grandchildren, Barry and Colton Massie, Shawn Carlaw and Megan Blackwelder.
