CANTON — Three Canton Little League all-star softball teams are headed to their respective age groups’ state championship tournaments this weekend.
Managers Charles Kielson’s 12-and-under team and Brett Messer’s 10-and-under squad recently won D5 championships and earned automatic berths into their resp ective state tournaments.
Skipper Josh Cook’s 8-and-under squad won the D5 East Tournament and accepted an invitation to their state tournament.
The 12U District 5 champs will open the state tournament on Saturday at 4 p.m. against Garner, the District 6 champion, at the Franklin Community Center.  
The 10U District champions will begin its quest for a state championship on Monday in Forest City.
