Hats off to Preston Tinsley and Charles Starnes for organizing a staff reunion for all those who ever worked at Tuscola High School.
When you think about it, those on staff at the schools have much longer tenures than any group of students, yet classes hold reunions regularly. In Starnes’ case, he was principal for 23 years. Tinsley said his decade in the Tuscola library has provided some of the fondest memories of his career.
It is not uncommon to hear about all-class reunions or the class gatherings from a particular school every five years. But to offer a time and place for those who were behind the day-to-day activities of educating and supporting students in a school to share memories is much less common.
