HIGH POINT  — The Rev. Timothy “Tim” Howard Pless, 51, went to be with the Lord Nov. 22, 2012, from the Piedmont Hospice Home in High Point. Tim was the son of the Rev. Howard and Joan Pless, of 33 Grace Dr., in Canton.

Tim was born Feb. 9, 1961, in the old Haywood County Hospital. He was an avid sports player, from little league to securing a full scholarship to play football at Lees McRae and Catawba College. Tim coached at North Davidson High School, until he felt the calling into ministry. After graduation from South Eastern Seminary, he served as pastor of Forest Hills Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina. Afterwards he became an executive account representative for Systel Office Automation in Greensboro.
