Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather
WAYNESVILLE — Tommy Singleton, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home after a brief illness on Friday, March 17, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hester McClure, and step-father, Raymond McClure; one brother, Billy Jack Singleton; his sister, Hazel Austin and a nephew, Billy Jack Singleton Jr.
Tommy is survived by his wife, together for over 29 years, Pamela R. Singleton; his daughter; Danielle Wells and his grandson Austin Green, whom he adored. He is also survived by one brother, Ray Treadway; two brother-in-law’s, James (Clara) Roland, Neal (Linda) Roland and two sister-in-law’s, Norene Sutton and Charlene (Carl) Mull.
“TJ” was a kind hearted and caring man who loved the outdoors, fishing and camping. He enjoyed playing cards, especially solitaire, and sitting for hours taking apart things for the copper. “TJ” worked at Lea Industries as a carpenter for about 3 years and was a lifelong farmer.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2017, at Smoky Mountain Chapel with the Revs. Neal Roland, James Roland and Roger Roland officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Smoky Mountain.
