Trick or Treat?
Tuscola High School baseball program announces first alumni Halloween costume game on Saturday (Oct. 27)
There will be a lot of “old” trick-or-treaters trying to prove they still “got game” this Saturday, Oct. 27.
Tuscola Manager Caleb McConnell announced at the beginning of the week his program will hold an alumni Halloween costume baseball game at the Tuscola Baseball Complex next to Junaluska Elementary School on Saturday.
The tricks or treats, depending on your perspective, begins at 4 p.m. with the costume Tuscola alumni participating in a Home Run Derby. Following the long ball tournament will be a nine-inning baseball game.
Admission is $5 and the concession stand will be open. Every trick or treater in costume will receive a free hot dog.
All net proceeds go to the Tuscola High School baseball program.
“This is going to be a fun event,” said McConnell. “Our Halloween costume game is just another way for our alumni to be a part of giving back to the program and to connect with our great fans. It’s also a fun opportunity for Tuscola baseball followers to see a unique side of the game.”
Current Tuscola players will not participate in the Halloween home run derby or the game.
