Tuscola drops fifth straight in volleyball
The Tuscola varsity volleyball team dropped a five-set match to visiting East Henderson, 3-2 (21-25, 25-22, 21-25, 25-10, 13-15), Tuesday evening on its home court.
“We have talent to be a great team , but we are not playing like one right now,” said Tuscola Head Coach Angell Kirkpatrick Benson. “Our first priority is to address this problem.”
Unfortuantely, the loss was the fifth consecutive setback for the Mountaineers, which dropped to 5-6 overall and 1-5 in the WNCAC. The Eagles improved to 3-11 and 2-5 in conference.
Tuscola played at Franklin in a WNCAC match Thursday night. At press time, no results were available. The Mountaineers will be back on their home court Tuesday, Sept. 25, when they host at 6 p.m. the Smoky Mountain Mustangs.
