Tuscola Garden Club to host gardening presentation Feb. 18
Many Haywood County gardeners are experiencing a strong hankering for spring and the chance to get their hands in the soil again. The sun is hanging around a little longer and daffodils are poking up through the soil, hinting at the reluctant, but sure coming, of warmer days.
Tuscola Garden Club is preparing for those days with a program of great gardening tips from two very skilled and knowledgeable professionals. At 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the Bethea Welcome Center (located at Lake Junaluska’s main entrance), Craig and Bryan Artley will give a 3-in-1 presentation entitled "Shade Gardening, When and How to Divide Perennials, and Plantings to Prevent Erosion."
Visitors are welcome to attend. Call 452-7176 for directions or information about the Tuscola Garden Club.
The Artley brothers own and manage Grass Roots Garden Center at the intersection of Dellwood Road and Russ Avenue.
