Tuscola, Pisgah get ‘mulligans’ as WNCAC play begins tonight

The Tuscola Varsity Football team may finally be able to breathe a sigh of relief.  After playing a notorious non-conference schedule known as “death row” for the second straight year, the Mountaineers now enter into a WNC Athletic Conference schedule that is looking increasingly weak by the week.  
Since Tuscola was able to keep the score respectable against such difficult opponents, it seems likely for them to make a decent run for the remainder of the regular season and possibly even compete for a conference championship.
Half of the teams in the WNCAC (including Tuscola) remain winless at this point and the Mountaineers will get to face all three of the other winless teams first.  There are no remaining undefeated teams in the conference, which holds a combined 7-25 record against other ...
