Tuscola reunion scheduled for classes of 1967, 1968, 1969
The Tuscola class of 1968 announced its 45th-year reunion, and will be the host class for a three-class reunion, scheduled Sept.14, at The Waynesville Inn. This will be the third time that the original three classes have come together. Visit www.tuscola69.com, where all members of the three classes are listed and the details of the reunion are given.
In the fall of 1966 the sophomores, juniors and seniors at five county high schools left their school and moved en mass to Tuscola. This move marked the consolidation of seven high schools in Haywood County to Pisgah and Tuscola. These Tuscola students came from high schools in Crabtree, Fines Creek, Clyde, Reynolds and Waynesville.
Those who are a member of these three classes, are encouraged to attend this event. Reunion organizers also need everyone’s help in getting the word out to former students who no longer live in Haywood County or whose addresses might have changed and cannot be located. The sign up deadline for attending is Aug. 2, and the class contacts are:
Class of 1969 —Jean Worsham Howell at 627-0632
Class of 1968 —Neese Chamber Morris at 452-5272
Class of 1967 —Tanna Boone Timbes at 456-6307
