Tuscola routs East

Tuscola senior Thomas Hay pulled down 10 more rebounds to stay in first among the state’s best rebounders and senior guard Logan Hardin scored a team-high 31 points, including 13 in the third quarter as the Mountaineers blasted the visiting East Henderson Eagles, 67-29, in a WNCAC game Friday night.
First place Tuscola improved to 6-0 in the WNCAC and 14-2 overall, while East Henderson dropped to 2-9 and 0-6 in the conference.
The Mountaineers led 12-11 at the end of the first quarter and took a 23-13 halftime lead before they erupted for 31 points in the third quarter to break open a close game and carried a 54-27 advantage going into the fourth quarter.
