Tuscola’s defense comes up big

EDNEYVILLE — After starting the season 0-5, the Tuscola varsity football team has now put together a winning streak, claiming victory in their last two games—the most recent being a 17-7 win over the North Henderson Knights this past Friday night at Glenn C. Marlow Stadium.
“I think anytime you get a win it’s a big deal,” said Tuscola Head Coach Brandon Allen. “It is a huge boost of confidence not only to the coaching staff, but to the kids and I think that is very, very important.”
Tuscola won the coin toss and elected to receive the opening kickoff, but went three-and-out on their opening possession.  Both teams remained scoreless in a rather uneventful first quarter, but North Henderson was the first team to threaten.  With a 24 yard pass to Dalton Whitaker at the Tuscola 32, Knights ...
