Tuscola seeks second win

Coming off of their first win of the season last week, the Tuscola varsity football team will head to North Henderson tonight looking for a second helping of victory.    
The two teams hold identical records (1-5, 1-1 WNCAC) with the Mountaineers’ single win being 42-13 over Brevard and the Knights’ single win being 33-28 over West Henderson.   Both teams are also under the leadership of new head coaches this year — Brandon Allen at Tuscola and J.D. Dinwiddle at North Henderson.
In 2011, North Henderson rolled into C.E. Weatherby Stadium and spoiled Tuscola’s homecoming night with a 16-14 upset of the Mountaineers thanks to a rally by now-junior quarterback Zack Gahagan.  Gahagan’s father, Mike was a standout wide receiver for Tuscola in the 1980s.
