Tuscola's Ashe signs to play soccer with Pfeiffer

The final year at Tuscola High for Brittany Ashe won’t be remembered just for the C.E. Weatherby award she received.
Her heart played a significant role, too.
Ashe was set to attend Coastal Carolina University as a student,  but the Mountaineer senior midfielder opted for a late opportunity to fulfill her dream.
On Wednesday (June 6), Ashe signed to play women’s soccer at Pfeiffer University, a Division II school in Misenheimer, North Carolina during a ceremony in the media center.
It was basically love at first sight when Ashe visited Pfeiffer.
“I fell in love with the place,” said Ashe. “It is just beautiful. I also found Pfeiffer’s Coach (Elijah) Denton very interesting. As for playing soccer, I was assured that Pfeiffer was the team all others in Conference Carolinas wanted to beat,  ...
