Kind and Caring

CANDLER — Tyler Aaron Messer, God’s blessing to our family for the past 28 years, left this earthly life to enter into his eternal heavenly home on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016.

Tyler was born June 3, 1988, and had made his home in Canton most of his life. He was a 2006 graduate of Pisgah High School and continued his education at Haywood Community College. He had resided in Candler for the past five years and was currently employed with Road King Trailers.

Tyler brought into this world love, joy and happiness that could never be measured. Even at a young age, he taught us the importance of caring about others, and we shall never forget his big and giving heart and also his delightful sense of humor.

Tyler was a hard worker and was dedicated to any project that he began. He was an avid reader and also a computer game enthusiast, making many friends all over the world. Tyler excelled in the martial art sport of Tae Kwon Do and achieved the rank of black belt.

We will forever treasure the memory of Tyler’s sweet smile and the wonderful memories that our family has shared and we each shall hold the precious memory of our beloved Tyler in our hearts and souls forever.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry Rhinehart; paternal grandfather, Charles Messer Sr.; and also an uncle, Johnny Rhinehart.

Surviving are his parents, Charles “Ed” Messer Jr. and Tammy Rhinehart Messer, of Canton; his fiancee and the love of his life, Stephanie Taylor, of Candler; his maternal grandmother, Carie Rhinehart, of Canton; his paternal grandmother, Alma Messer Hoard, of Clyde; a brother, Travis Stevenson of Sisterville, West Virginia; an aunt, Jan Potter, of Canton; an uncle, Billy Joe Rhinehart, of Canton; and many  friends.

A celebration of Tyler’s life will be held at 7 p.m.Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, in the chapel of Crawford/Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Canton. Pastor J.D. Grant and Pastor Denny King will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
