Nearly one third of smartphone owners said they have watched TV on their phone, and one in five said they have read a book on their phone. Many people are interested in using their phone for entertainment or are  looking for more information on how to get more out of the device.

Devices such as the iPhone 5s and Samsung Galaxy S 5 can provide entertainment on-the-go, and U.S. Cellular wants to show Waynesville residents the tips and tricks of using these devices to the fullest.

U.S. Cellular is offering a free device workshop at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28  at 225 Town Center Loop, in Waynesville. Current or potential smartphone users can ask questions and learn about any device they are interested in. The workshop is open to everyone, and people don’t have to be a U.S. Cellular customer to attend.

“We want to ensure that every customer knows how to get the most out of their device and has a great wireless experience,” said Jack Brundige, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in western North Carolina. “At U.S. Cellular, we also understand the importance of having a reliable high speed network so our customers can use their devices where they live, work and play.”
