U.S. Sen. candidate will meet with farmers Saturday

U.S. Senate candidate Mark Harris will be in Waynesville from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18.

Harris will be meeting with the Haywood County agriculture community at the Haywood County Farm Bureau building, 1520 Asheville Road.

Harris is a conservative Republican candidate who is on leave from First Baptist Church in Charlotte where he has served as Senior Pastor for 12 years.

Agriculture being a leading industry in North Carolina, and Harris would like a discussion with farmers about their likes and dislikes of the federal government regulations that affect farming.

All farmers and ranchers are invited. Others may attend depending on seating availability.
