Veteran rockers to headline ‘Bash’ on Sept. 13
Veteran Southeast rockers and Haywood County natives Mindframe will headline the Haywood Post 47 Baseball Bash on Saturday, Sept. 13.
Mindframe was formed in the summer of 1983 in a basement in Waynesville and has continued to deliver blue collar rock ‘n’ roll ever since. The band recorded their self-titled album in 1996. Following that album, Mindframe served as opening act to bands such as Night Ranger, Survivor, and Atlanta Rhythm Section.
Mindframe played as a five-piece band until 2004. Following that year, the band continued as a four-piece until Joe Pinkston, son of original guitar player Mark Pinkston, joined the band in May 2014 to share in the guitar work with his dad and to help continue Mindframe’s 31st year of rock and roll.
The band delivers a mixture of hard rock covers spanning four decades, as well as its original music.
Over its 30-plus-year history, it has developed a loyal fan base playing dives and smoky bars in the Southeast and several nationally renowned music venues and arenas. New material is planned to be released soon.
Members of Mindframe are: Tommy Potts (vocals), Mark Pinkston (guitar), Joe Pinkston (guitar), John W. Truitt (bass) and Rick Boyd (drums).
