There will be a VFW music festival from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Maggie Valley Festival Grounds. Several bands will be performing gospel, country, bluegrass and Southern rock styles of music.

The headliner band will be Swamp Da Wamp performing their hit release “Heroes for Hire” and will be performing from 7 to 8:40 p.m.

The festival will serve barbecue, hot dogs and chicken. There will be inflatables for children.

Admission prices are $10 for individuals, $15 for couples, $2 for children 4 to 12 and free for children 0 to 3.

Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs for personal comfort.
