Loving Wife

WAYNESVILLE —  Dominica Vickie Medford, 60, of Miami Drive, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 at her residence.

A native of the Philippines, she had been a resident in Haywood County for the past 25 years.  Vickie was employed by Microtel Inn in Maggie Valley for 20 years.  She was a member of St John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Vickie enjoyed raising flowers, fishing and camping with her husband.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Jaynes "J.R." Medford; two stepdaughters, Pamela Schillings of Candler and Shawn Surrett of Maggie Valley; a sister, 5 step-grandchildren and 3 step- great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Father Larry LoMonaco officiating.  Burial will ...
