MAGGIE VALLEY — Mrs. Virginia Fritz Gebhart, 95, passed away peacefully at the Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of declining health. She was the widow of Vincent Gebhart, who died in 1986. Mrs. Gebhart was a native of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and was a loan officer at the Clearwater Bank, in Florida, until 1976 when she and Vincent moved to Maggie Valley. She was active in the Maggie Valley Women’s Club, a member of the Haywood County Advisory Committee of Adult Care Homes, and a member Peachtree United Methodist Church and the Peachtree UMW. She is survived by a niece-in-law Carol Ferree, of Maggie Valley; a sister Lorraine Ferree; and a great-nephew Kurt L. Ferree, both of Ft. Wayne.
