Virginia 'Ginny' Easley
Mrs. Virginia Ann “Ginny” Ruffner Easley, daughter of the late Mr. Carl Ruffner and Mrs. Grayce Blevins Ruffner, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Parkwest Medical Center.
Born on Sept. 15, 1930, in Morristown, TN, Virginia graduated from Morristown High School in 1948. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell South until she married her husband of 56 years, Wayne W. Easley. She was a long term member of First United Methodist Church of Waynesville, NC.
Virginia loved music and singing and especially enjoyed spending time with her sisters and her only grandson.
Virginia was preceded in death by her sisters, Mrs. Peggy (Ted) Ruffner Bowers and Mrs. Evadene (Ebba) Ruffner Hodge.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne W. Easley, her son and daughter-in-law Wayne (Cindy) William Easley II; grandson Wayne (Will) William Easley III, all of Knoxville, TN; her sister, Shirley Ruffner Harville of Ocala, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at Jarnagin Cemetery Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. for a graveside/interment service.
