Waynesville, NC - CaroMia Tiller’s live musical presence has been compared to Janis Joplin, Adele, and even "Ray Charles in a little white girl's body". On Friday, November 15 at 7pm, experience the music of CaroMia LIVE at the Classic Wineseller, 20 Church Street.

Tiller’s biography reads like an adventure novel. From a very young age, the free-spirited Tiller has been making her own rules. The soul-shaking power behind her voice seems to draw on a few lifetimes' worth of experience. From a world of inspiration Tiller distills an arresting and immediately recognizable sound: her own signature blend of rootsy Americana, Soul and Blues.

As a child CaroMia Tiller taught herself to sing and play piano, as a pre-teen she rejected opportunities in the music business to stay true to her craft. As a teen she bought her first guitar and flew to India to learn to play it. She studied with South Indian masters, then spent time floating around India, North Africa and Southeast Asia on her own before busking her way through Europe as a successful street performer. Upon returning to the United States, she moved to Asheville, sight unseen, and found herself at home. She met and married Russ Tiller within months of moving to Asheville, and in the whirlwind of a new love and a new life, she found her new muse.

In May 2012, Tiller released her second studio album The SpectrumThe Spectrum garnered immediate glowing press reviews and radio play around the Southeast. As a songwriter she draws from the deep wells of folk, soul, R&B and gospel, weaving these influences into songs that are fresh and timeless. There is something for just about everyone in CaroMia Tiller's music.

On Saturday, November 16, singer-songwriter and piano man Joe Cruz returns to play  original music, in addition to your favorite hits of the Beatles and Elton John. Raised in New York City, Cruz started performing in church as a youngster. As a young man he became a regular performer on the nightclub scene and opened for such notable groups as Chicago, Santana, and Bonnie Raitt.
