Walmart stalker released on bond
The man Waynesville police arrested Tuesday for stalking a young girl in Walmart and asking her to take off her clothes, was released from jail Wednesday.
Ryan Scot Davis, 48, was released on $100,000 bond yesterday. He is accused of posing as Walmart security and stalking an 11-year-old girl over the weekend.
He pulled the girl to a private area in the toy section and demanded that she remove her pants and underwear. When she did not comply, Davis let her go.
He is charged with second-degree kidnapping, indecent liberties with a child and assault on a child under 12 — all felonies. He was also charged with stalking, which is a misdemeanor.
Davis is a registered sex offender with three prior convictions in 2000 in Henderson County for almost identical crimes. He was released from custody in 2006.
He is due to appear in court Dec. 5.
