Beloved Husband, Father

WAYNESVILLE — Wayne Charles Garrett, 88, of Waynesville, went to be with The Lord, Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, after an extend illness. He was born March 24, 1924, to the late James Blaine and Leacil McElroy Garrett and was a lifelong Haywood County resident.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Brock Garrett; three children, Audrey (B.T.) Greene, of Sylva, Douglas Garrett, of Waynesville, and Charles (Debbie) Garrett, of Clyde. Wayne had five grandchildren, Kimberly (Martin) Mathis, and Heather (Tim) Mathis, of Sylva, Kris (Cindy) Garrett, of Franklin, Matthew (Mindi) Garrett, of Waynesville, and Jeremy (Jennifer) Garrett, of Clyde, and 10 great-grand children.
