In Loving Memory

CLYDE — Wayne Trantham, 81, of the Fines Creek Community, passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 at The Homestead Hospice Center in Clyde.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the son of the late Jesse Clyde and Georgia Mae Duckett Trantham. Wayne was also preceded in death by a sister Juanita Trantham. He was a self-employed farmer and was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Wayne was very active in the Fines Creek Community where he was instrumental in helping to form the Fines Creek Community Association as well as planning many community events such as monthly dances and the annual Fines Creek Bluegrass Festival. He will also be remembered for his love of music and dance. Wayne loved his family dearly and will be deeply missed.
