Waynesville arrests, Nov. 12
The following is a listing of arrests made by the Waynesville Police Department from Nov. 1 through Nov. 12.
Tiera Darye Ramey, 21, of Richland Street, Waynesville, was arrested Nov. 5 after she was accused of stealing a debit card and Walmart gift card.
According to police reports, she told police she had taken the cards from a jewelry box from the victim earlier that day.
After her arrest, a staff member at the jail found that she was carrying a pill bottle with meth inside.
She was charged with felony credit card theft, felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises, felony possession of meth and misdemeanor possession of stolen property.
She was jailed under $6,000 secured bond and is due in court Nov. 14.
In other arrests, Tiffany Alexis Hollifield, 16, of Joe Vance Road, Canton, was arrested on warrants charging her with credit card fraud and possession of stolen property — both felonies.
She was also charged with misdemeanor possession of stolen property.
She was jailed under $2,000 secured bond.
On Nov. 11, Waynesville police arrested 37-year-old Juanita R. Phillips, of Andrews, who was escorted out of Ingle’s because she was “obviously very intoxicated,” according to reports.
She was cursing and yelling at store clerks and resisted arrest.
She faces several drug charges after officers found her carrying “crack” cocaine, marijuana and Xanax.
There was also a warrant for her arrest out of Cherokee for shoplifting.
She was charged with felony possession of cocaine, simple possession of marijuana and schedule IV controlled substance, larceny shoplifting and being drunk and disruptive.
Phillips was jailed under $3,000 secured bond and released under written promise to appear in court Nov. 28.
Claudia Ann Conard, of Morning Drive, Waynesville and Jessie Elizabeth Conard, of Old River Road, Canton, both 29, were arrested Nov. 10 after stealing several items from Kmart.
Loss prevention workers notified police after discovering the two had attempted to return stolen items to customer service for cash.
When they were denied, they stole several shirts, underwear and bedding, according to reports.
Both were charged with felony larceny from a merchant by removing the tags, felony obtaining property by false pretense, larceny and possession of stolen property.
Claudia Conard was also charged with second degree trespassing.
Jessie Conard was jailed under $5,000 secured bond and Claudia Conard was jailed under $3,000 secured bond.
Both are scheduled to appear in district court Nov. 28.
