Waynesville license plate agency to close temporarily

Local office to close for two-day training sessions

RALEIGH — The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles will close its Waynesville license plate agency on Tuesday, July 15 and Wednesday, July 16 to conduct customer service training for its employees.

NCDMV is currently holding statewide customer service training courses for all office locations. The Waynesville agency will reopen at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 17.

Agencies located in the immediate area will remain open to provide vehicle registration services. The following locations will be open during the training:

Pisgah Forest             – 69 New Hendersonville Highway, Suite 8, (828) 883-3251
Sylva                           – 454 East Main Street, Suite #3, (828) 586-3886

LPAs offer vehicle registration services and title transactions, as well as vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags and duplicate registrations. Currently, about 120 license plate agencies operate across North Carolina.
