Waynesville's Lile gives special presentation at Gardner-Webb
BOILING SPRINGS — Senior Christopher Lile, of Waynesville, recently presented “Small Mammal Survey of Broad River Greenway and the Surrounding Area, North Carolina” during the 20th anniversary celebration of the Life of the Scholar Multidisciplinary Conference (LOTS-MC) held March 25 at Gardner-Webb University.
Lile was one of seven students who received funding for his research from the Gardner-Webb University Undergraduate Research Scholars program for the summer 2016 term. He also received a LOTS-MC best presentation prize in the health and natural science category.
More than 40 undergraduate and graduate students participated in the event also sponsored by the GWU Chapter of Alpha Chi and the Undergraduate Research Program.
The experience of conducting and presenting research opens doors for GWU students, whether they seek more education or a job in their field.
