WCU included in list of nation’s top online program providers
CULLOWHEE — Western Carolina University is listed among the nation’s top providers of online degree programs in a collection of rankings released recently by U.S. News & World Report.
In its examination of undergraduate and graduate online programs offered by higher education institutions across the country, the magazine ranked WCU in 76th place among 226 schools in a category for “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs.”
The magazine’s rankings of bachelor’s programs were computed according to four factors: student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, and peer reputation.
WCU also made the list of the “Best Online Graduate Business Programs (non-MBA),” coming in at 52nd place in a lineup of 101 schools. Those rankings are based on the same factors, except for the addition of admissions selectivity.
WCU also offers a number of other online certificate programs and courses.
