WCU presents 'Once in a Lifetime'

CULLOWHEE —  “Once in a Lifetime,” a satiric look back at the Golden Age of Hollywood and the birth of the “talkies,” will stage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, through Saturday, Nov. 10, at the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center at Western Carolina University.

Part of the Mainstage Series from WCU’s School of Stage and Screen, “Once in a Lifetime” was written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman and tells the comedic story of three members of a failing vaudeville act who head to Hollywood to cash in on the conversion to “talkies” by posing as elocutionists, attempting to teach silent stars to speak on camera.
