WCU to celebrate Homecoming the first weekend in October
CULLOWHEE — With a theme of “Tradition Long … Catamount Strong,” Western Carolina University will celebrate Homecoming 2012 with a host of activities Oct. 4-7.
David Dorondo, associate history professor, will deliver the annual “Last Lecture” at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at the A.K. Hinds University Center theater on the WCU campus. The “Last Lecture” event honors a faculty member who teaches with passion and enthusiasm.
The annual Alumni Scholarship Homecoming Golf Tournament (with a four-person captain’s choice format) tees off with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Sequoyah National Golf Club in Whittier.
