CULLOWHEE — Veteran educators will discuss how to respond to tragic and traumatic events in school communities and how schools strive to meet the needs of all students during a panel discussion at Western Carolina University on Thursday, Jan. 17.

Organized by WCU’s College of Education and Allied Professions in response to the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the event is open to the public and will take place in the A.K. Hinds University Center multipurpose room from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.
