WCU to screen 'Breathless' on Oct. 30
CULLOWHEE — Western Carolina University will screen the 1960 Jean-Luc Goddard classic “Breathless” on Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the theater of A.K. Hinds University Center.
The screening, which begins at 7:30 p.m., is free and open to the public.
One of the earliest and most influential films of the French “New Wave,” the movie is being shown as part of a film series connected to WCU’s campuswide interdisciplinary learning theme for 2013-14 “1960s: Take It All In.” The theme is intended to encourage discussion and study of the legacy and lessons of the decade.
The film series will continue in the University Center theater on Tuesday, Nov. 19, with a screening of “Woodstock” at 7:30 p.m.
