Saturday, Sept. 22,  Haywood's Historic Farmers Market will be offering canning tomatoes for those people that perserve the harvest for the winter months.  There are many other vegetables that can be bought at less expense in quantity for perserving also.  If this is the first year that you will be doing it, stop by the market booth for a USDA Canning  Guideline pamplet.

There will also be cornstalks, pumpkins, candyroasters and other  squashes for decorating and eating.  Choose from our mums to round out your home's Autumn display.
