Loving Husband and Father

WAYNESVILLE — William Ashby Hudson, 79, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012.

A native of Florence, South Carolina, he lived most of his life in Tampa, Florida, and the past 12 years in Waynesville.  He was the son of the late Oscar Dennis (Jack) and Irene Swann Hudson and was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Genine Drawdy.

Bill was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Germany as a teletype operator, and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina.  He was a retired accountant from the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court in Tampa, Florida.
