In Loving Memory

CANTON — Wilma Christine Jenkins Putnam, 78, of Canton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012.

Mrs. Putnam was born June 27, 1934, in Swain County to the late William Jenkins Sr. and the late Alcie Hutchins Jenkins.  She had resided most of her life in Haywood County and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Putnam deeply loved her family and she always wanted to help take care of each of them.  She was indeed a wonderful cook and preparing her family's favorite dishes always brought her great joy. She was a member of Rocky Face Baptist Church.  Mrs. Putnam will be deeply missed and her memory cherished.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Putnam; her son, Eugene Putnam; two brothers and two sisters.
