Join FUR volunteers and friends of Feline Urgent Rescue of WNC at Bosu’s Wine Shop on Saturday, May 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. to enjoy an evening of wine tasting and savory appetizers.

Chef Jackie Blevins, of Perfectly Seasoned, will provide the appetizers.

“In support of FUR, we are pleased to offer an extra discount on the listed wines from the benefit tasting. We offer attendees 10 percent off single bottles or 15 percent off cases (solid or mixed) from the tasting," said Maleah Pusz, owner of Bosu’s.

“For the past several years attendees have told us that the highlight of the evening is the raffle of gifts donated by local artists and merchants,” said Bonnie Smith, chairperson of the wine tasting event.

This year FUR is adding a silent auction that includes a Jenny Buckner painting entitled “May,” donated by Ellen and Tom Sither. John Laughter Jewelry is providing an original JLJ man’s watch, and from Gigi & Sugar Jewelry, a freshwater pearl necklace with crazy lace agate and crystal ring.

Raffle prizes include jewelry, massages, art, gift certificates, home decor and more.

RSVP online at www.furofwnc.org until May 2. Tickets cost $30 per person and includes three wine tasting tickets. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.

Sponsorships are available for $125.  Sponsors will be recognized on the Sponsor Board and have an opportunity to display business cards, as well as receive two tickets and a bottle of Mosseland wine in a collectible cat shaped bottle.
