Everyone is invited to shake off those winter blues and come to the Canton Armory for the first winter season of “Pickin’ In The Park.”  The first of the winter mountain music and dance series will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at the Canton Armory, 71 Penland St. (next to the Canton Recreation Park).

The Lisa Price Band will be performing along with the Dixie Darlings and Mountain Tradition square dance teams at the first Friday night event.  The Canton senior citizens will be selling refreshments and concessions at the event and all proceeds will go to their organization.  Chairs will be provided  by the armory for those attending the event.

Admission is free to the public. So grab a dance partner and get ready for music and dancing.
