On Monday, June 2, the Haywood Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand reopening of Within REACH HomeStore in downtown Hazelwood. Chamber President CeCe Hipps and town of Waynesville Manager Marcy Onieal welcomed the relocation and expansion with the REACH staff, volunteers and chamber ambassadors. Following the ribbon cutting, light appetizers from Bourbon Barrel Beef and Ale were served followed by a fashion show with clothing from the Within Reach Store.

In 2002, REACH of Haywood opened its first resale store, Within REACH.  The concept behind the store was to offer the community affordable, gently used items, mainly clothing while at the same time supporting the agency’s mission. REACH of Haywood County is a nonprofit organization that provides crisis intervention services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

In 2012 a Within REACH HomeStore was added offering furniture, accessories and home goods.  The Within REACH HomeStore, next to Within REACH, added an additional 2,200 square feet of merchandise.  Both stores are open Monday through Saturday and  gratefully accept donations on those days.

The stores are located at 456 Hazelwood Ave. Call 454-5998 for information.
