The Medwest-Haywood Wound Care Center has reached a milestone of 15 years of serving the community.

The wound clinic began on the second floor of the Haywood Hospital in 1997. At that time, the wound center consisted of a team of one physical therapist and one physical therapist assistant, LuAnn Ledford, PTA, CWS. The Wound Care Center was only able to provide part time wound care three days a week. The demand for the medical care of wounds has grown tremendously over the past 15 years, and the MedWest-Haywood Wound Care Center has grown with it.
