Youth participants win at fairs
During the Fall Haywood County Fair, the 4-H youth division received more than 400 entries — 82 cloverbud, 269 junior and 91 senior entries. The 4-H youth division is broke-up into three divisions by age cloverbuds are ages 5 to 8, juniors 9 to 13, and seniors are 14 to 19 years old.
Youth were able to showcase a variety of their artistic skills through paintings, crafts, photography and learned skills like gardening produce, canning, baked goods, and artistic arrangement.
County youth were also able to participate in the livestock competition in a variety of livestock divisions including: goats, hogs, dairy, beef, and sheep.
